Hey there! I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Lou, the runner behind Run With Joy, though if I’m being honest… I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with running. I’m slightly obese, not what most people picture when they think of a “runner,” and that’s exactly why I started this blog.
This isn’t a place for perfect paces or race medals (though those are cool too). This is for the everyday runners—the ones who huff and puff, who take walking breaks, who lace up even when their every bone and muscle says don’t. This is for the people who, like me, love hating running… but keep doing it anyway, because there’s something oddly magical about it.
Run With Joy is my honest journal of this journey: the sweaty struggles, the small wins, the setbacks, and the moments I surprise even myself. My goal? To help others who feel like they’re “too out of shape,” “too slow,” or just “not built for running” see that you absolutely belong on the road, track, or trail.
Here, you’ll find motivation, humor, helpful tips, and hopefully a whole lot of encouragement. Whether you’re starting from scratch or starting again (for the 10th time), you’re welcome here.
Let’s run—awkwardly, slowly, joyfully—together.
